Hi there! If you're in Bagshot, would Farnham be a reasonable distance for you to travel? I give small group drumcircles. And even some latin percussion to boot if enough people want it.

Best

After having drummed in the beautiful Spanish Hills with my bro, I returned and bought myself a djembe drum! I am in Bagshot, Surrey and would love to jam and learn with others in the local area! Anyone interested and local to me then please do get in touch!

Dundun Master Classes
Ibro will be starting a series of Dundun Master Classes in the new year!

Classes will normally be held on the first Sunday of every month, although please do check dates and times before coming as these may change.

The first class will be Sunday January 10th at "Next to Nowhere", 96 Bold Street, Liverpool L1 4HY.

The morning session is from 10.30am - 1.00pm, and will be for beginner to intermediate students. Absolute beginners are very welcome!!! This session will be a great introduction to playing Dunduns, but will also be challenging enough to help people who've been playing for a while to develop their technique and ability.

The afternoon session is from 2.00pm - 4.30pm, and will be for intermidiate to advanced students and professional players. In this class Ibro will be concentrating on teaching more complex and difficult rhythms, including the variations and echauffements that are used for each.

Sessions cost 15 each, or 25 for the full day (ideal for intermediate players and people who want to learn a lot of new rhythms!)

Whatever level you are, this is a fantastic opportunity to come and learn with one of the UK's leading Dundunfolas! Ibro has studied and performed Dunduns for almost 20 years. Ibro trained in the Simbaya Gare district of Conakry, an area renowned for it's schools of drum and dance. His knowledge of traditional Guinean music encompasses Malinke, Fula and Susu rhythms. Ibro has performed across Guinea, Senegal and The Gambia with some of the leading West African Ballet troupes. Siince moving to the UK in 2009, he has performed with Nansady Keita's Ensemble "Petite Guinee" at a number of festivals, including; WOMAD, Drumcamp and African Beats Camp.

If you would like to book a place, please contact anna at: info@ibrosoumah.com, or mob: 07754410541.

Please note that you must book a place in advance, as the venue has a limited capacity.
