Hi there! If you're in Bagshot, would Farnham be a reasonable distance for you to travel? I give small group drumcircles. And even some latin percussion to boot if enough people want it.

After having drummed in the beautiful Spanish Hills with my bro, I returned and bought myself a djembe drum! I am in Bagshot, Surrey and would love to jam and learn with others in the local area! Anyone interested and local to me then please do get in touch!

Residential workshops with Modou Diouf
Drum up some Gambian sunshine in Walberswick near Southwold in Suffolk
9 - 18 March 2007 A rare opportunity to drum with the inspirational Modou
Diouf Master Sabar Drummer.

Following the great success of his first residential workshop in
Walberswick, Modou has once again offered to bring the Gambian experience to
this wonderful location on the Suffolk coast. Modou is from the Serre people
of Senegal and comes from a long line of griots (musicians). His instrument
is the sabar drum, played with the hand and stick, and he is a patient and
experienced teacher, full of charm and enthusiasm. All levels of ability are
catered for and you will be amazed at the incredible energy of the music you
will create with Modou. Drums will be provided.

Walberswick is a delightful village on the Suffolk coast, within walking
distance of the lovely town of Southwold.

Our drumming venue, The Studio, is right by the beach and we can offer some
inexpensive, shared accomodation there too. Alternative B&B accommodation
can also be found in Walberswick village, a couple of minutes walk away, and
information will be supplied on request. Thereís ample parking near The
Studio if youíre driving; otherwise the nearest train station is Darsham
(from London Liverpool Street) and arrangements can be made to meet you
there. There are
two pubs, a cafe and a shop in the village. Meals will not be provided but,
if we plan to eat in, we will each provide our own food and drink to share
at communal feasts round a large table - a gathering in the spirit of
African village tradition.

Come to as many as you can. Discounts available if more than one full
